Forge Your Legend in Brass & Steam

Gentlefolk, behold the celebrated engines of Nimbus Aetherworks — clockwork contraptions of precision, whimsy, and daring, built by gaslight and delivered by airship.

Our Machinery

Instruments of Singular Craft

Every engine that leaves our foundry is cut, calibrated, and polished by hand — a marriage of iron discipline and boundless imagination.

Precision Engineering

Each cog is cut to a tolerance of one thousandth of an inch, then balanced until it hums like a well-fed boiler. Sloppy brass is a tragedy we refuse to stage.

Imaginative Craft

Our artificers sketch in ink and impossibility, drafting machines that walk, fly, and occasionally play the violin — always beautiful, never boring.

The Method

From Notion to Machine in Three Movements

No mystery, no mummery — only an honest process, refined over forty years of soot and triumph.

  1. Consult the Drawing Room

Send us your wildest notion; our engineers shall translate it into ink, brass, and a firm estimate.

  2. The Forge Awakens

Gears are cut, boilers are lit, and your engine takes shape under the watchful eyes of our artificers.

  3. Steam & Delivery

Every valve is tested under full pressure, then your machine is crated and dispatched by airship, guaranteed punctual.

Testimonies

Words from Persons of Standing

The Nimbus engine runs sweeter than my grandmother's chronometer, and pulls harder than a Tuesday tide. Worth every farthing.

Elegant, relentless, and beautiful. My automaton butler has not once missed tea, and the housekeeper adores him.

They rebuilt my difference engine in a fortnight. The brasswork alone is worth the fare — the genius comes gratis.

Inquiries

Questions from the Curious

Do your engines truly run on steam alone?

Indeed. Each machine is fired by clean coal and a touch of ambition, though several of our grander models accept strong tea in emergencies.

How long does a bespoke commission take?

Between a fortnight and a season, depending on the ambition of the design and the temper of the weather. We keep you informed by telegram at every stage.

Is the workshop insured against boiler mishaps?

Thrice over. Our foundry carries policies with three separate underwriters, none of whom have ever yet had cause to frown upon us.

May I visit the foundry in person?

By appointment only, and do bring goggles. The machinery is friendly, but it knows no manners.

The Final Summons

The Age of Brass Awaits, Gentlefolk

Reserve your place in the workshop queue, and we shall post you a hand-inked invitation the moment your engine is ready to steam.

No obligation. No coal fees. Correspondence posted with the greatest discretion.
