WHAT WE PUBLISH
We read every bill, ruling and backroom deal — then say plainly who wins and who pays.
READ THE COLUMNOpinion on power, protest and the press. Take it, or argue back in print — loudly.
READ THE COLUMNSurveillance, budgets and quiet policy. What officials do off camera, put on the record.
READ THE COLUMNTHE METHOD
Filings, contracts and lobby records — pulled before the press release is even drafted.
Every column says who decided, who gained and who got stuck with the bill.
Print it, defend it, correct it loudly when we get it wrong. That is the whole method.
READERS TALK BACK
Finally, a paper that treats me like an adult. No both-sides mush, no ad money whispering between the lines.
I cancelled three subscriptions and kept this one. The public corrections page alone is worth the price.
My students argue with evidence instead of volume now. I assign a column every single week.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS
Readers, mostly. About two thirds of our revenue comes from memberships; the rest from print sales and one grant with zero editorial strings. No ads, no party money, no "strategic partners." Ever.
Ads put someone else's priorities between you and the argument. We would rather ask you for five dollars than ask a brand for permission.
Mistakes get a dated public correction at the top of the article, in the same size type as the error. Write to corrections@therawledger.example and we answer within 48 hours.
THE WEEKLY DISPATCH
We are The Raw Ledger. We publish critique on purpose, in the open, under our own names.
We take no advertising, no party money and no strategic partnerships. We name who decides, who profits and who pays — and we correct our errors loudly, at the top of the page.
If that offends you, good. Disagree in print.
