The Craft

Built Like Workwear, Finished Like Heirlooms

Handcut Tailoring

Every pair is cut by one tailor from 12 oz Kaihara selvedge, then chain-stitched on our 1938 Union Special — no lasers, no shortcuts.

Riveted Durability

Copper rivets at every stress point, bar-tacked belt loops, and a felled inseam that holds through decades of hard labor.

Raw & Renewable

Undyed pocket bags, organic cotton thread, and free repairs for life that keep good denim out of the landfill.

The Process

From Loom to Your Waistband

Fitted & Cut

Send three measurements or visit the workshop. Your pattern is drafted once, then kept on file for life.

Sewn & Rested

One tailor sews your pair start to finish, then we sanforize the cloth and hang it to rest for 48 hours.

Riveted & Released

Rivets are set, your initials are hot-stamped into the leather patch, and the pair ships in raw canvas.

“Three years of daily wear on the ranch and the only thing that gave out was my old belt.”

“The chain-stitched hem alone is worth the price — my pair fits better in year two than it did on day one.”

Questions

Straight Answers, No Fray

How should raw denim fit on day one?

Snug, not tight. Raw selvedge relaxes about one full size over the first month of honest wear.

Do you really repair every pair forever?

Yes. Send any pair back and we mend hems, rivets and knees free of charge — you only cover postage.

How long does a made-to-order pair take?

Three to five weeks: drafting, sewing, a 48-hour rest, and a final press before it ships.

Can I visit the workshop?

Saturdays, 10 to 4. We pour the coffee; you watch the Union Specials run.

What if the fit isn’t right?

Your first alteration is free within 60 days — we adjust or re-cut until it’s right.
