Authorial Brazilian Design · Est. Rio

Furniture with a Brazilian soul.

Drawn, joinered, and finished by hand in our Rio atelier — solid native wood, saddle-stitched leather, and the patient spirit of mid-century Brazilian modernism.

The Craft

Built the hard way, on purpose.

No anonymous factories, no veneer shortcuts — only the hand of the maker and a name on the certificate.

Freijó · air-dried 18 months

Solid Native Wood

Freijó, cumaru, and reclaimed jacarandá — air-dried for months and joined without visible hardware, the grain matched board by board.

Saddle stitch · waxed linen

Hand-Stitched Leather

Vegetable-tanned saddle leather, sewn by hand with waxed linen thread. It ages the way good leather should: darker, softer, yours.

Signed Authorial Pieces

Every piece leaves the atelier numbered, signed by its author, and paired with a certificate of authorship held for life.

From Our Atelier to Your Home

Slow by design, certain by practice.

Choose your piece

Select from the current collection or bring us your room. We advise on dimensions, wood, and leather until the drawing is right.

We craft it

Boards are chosen at the yard and every joint fitted by hand. Made to order in 8–12 weeks; large commissions take a little longer.

Delivered & certified

White-glove, insured delivery — your piece arrives numbered, signed, with its certificate of authorship and care kit.

In Their Words

Kept for generations, not seasons.

“The Mole lounge chair is the only new piece I have bought in a decade that already feels like an heirloom. You can read the joinery like a signature.”

Helena M. — Architect, São Paulo

“From the first sketch to the white-glove delivery, everything was considered. The certificate of authorship now hangs beside the piece it belongs to.”

Rafael T. — Collector, Curitiba

Questions

Before you commission.

How long will my piece take?
Collection pieces are made to order in 8–12 weeks, depending on wood availability; full commissions take 14–20 weeks. You receive atelier photographs at every stage — drying, joinery, upholstery, and finishing.
Which woods and leathers do you use, and how do I care for them?
Only certified native species — freijó, cumaru, and reclaimed jacarandá — paired with vegetable-tanned saddle leather. Keep pieces out of direct sun, dust with a dry cloth, and apply the natural wax from your care kit once or twice a year.
How do authenticity, delivery, and restoration work?
Each piece is numbered and signed by its author and ships with a certificate of authorship. Delivery is white-glove and fully insured across Brazil and abroad, and our atelier restores any Robusto piece for as long as it exists — owners pay only materials and travel.
