V2.0 — Liquid Engine

Liquid metal, rendered live.

MOLTEN is a real-time 3D engine that pours chrome over any mesh — live reflections, curated presets, and one-click export straight to the web.

Capabilities

Forged for real time

Everything you need to turn plain meshes into flowing chrome.

Live Reflections

Environment-mapped chrome updates every frame. Pan the camera and the highlight follows — no baking, no waiting.

Material Presets

Twenty curated pours, from mercury to gunmetal to molten gold. Or dial roughness, flow, and iridescence by hand.

One-Click Export

Bake to glTF and USDZ, or ship a live web player under 40 KB. Your chrome runs anywhere a browser does.

Pipeline

From mesh to mirror in three moves

  1. Drop in a mesh

Import OBJ, glTF, or FBX. MOLTEN retopologizes your model so reflective surfaces stay smooth.

  2. Pour the chrome

Pick a preset or sculpt the flow field. Reflections resolve live at 120 fps on mainstream GPUs.

  3. Ship it anywhere

Export baked assets or embed the real-time player with a single command.

Field Reports

Designers who ship chrome

“We mocked a chrome wordmark live on the call. The client approved it before the meeting ended.”

Mara EllisonArt Director, Vantage Studio

“Exports are tiny and the reflections hold up on a five-year-old phone. My portfolio finally looks like the 90s ads I grew up on.”

FAQ

Questions, answered

Does MOLTEN run in the browser or on my desktop?

Both. The editor is a native desktop app; exported players run anywhere WebGL does, including phones.

Can I use MOLTEN renders in commercial work?

Yes. Every paid tier includes a full commercial license with no attribution required. Free-tier exports carry a watermark.

What hardware do I need for real-time reflections?

Any GPU from the last six years handles 1080p chrome at 60 fps. Ray-traced presets want a modern discrete card.
