The Atelier of Nimbus

Intricate as Lace,
Enduring as Gold

Nimbus Filigree continues the tradition of the old masters — every commission drawn by hand, chased in fine metal, and finished with a mirror’s devotion.

The Artistry

Three Pillars of the Craft

No stamps, no shortcuts — only the patient arithmetic of hand and flame.

Hand-Drawn Arabesques

Each motif begins at the drawing board, curled and counter-curled the way the Renaissance workshops intended — never repeated, never stamped.

Aged & Honest Materials

Sterling silver, eighteen-karat gold, and rose-gold vermeil, sourced from certified refiners and annealed for a lifetime of wear.

Heirloom Restoration

Bring a worn treasure back to the bench. We re-tip, re-chase, and re-polish until the original hand shows through once more.

The Commission

How a Piece Is Born

The Consultation

Share your story, sketch, or heirloom. We listen, then propose a motif and a materials plan in writing.

The Drawing & Wax

Your arabesque is drawn full-scale and carved in wax, and nothing is cast until you approve it.

The Finishing

Chasing, polishing, and a final inspection under loupe — delivered in a hand-bound presentation case.

Kind Words

From the Collector’s Ledger

The filigree Nimbus drew for our anniversary is the only gift my wife has never once taken off. It looks as though it had been in her family for centuries.

E. Blackwood — Private Collector, Vienna

I inherited a broken brooch and feared it beyond saving. It returned more beautiful than in my grandmother’s photographs.

Questions

From the Enquiry Desk

How long does a commission take?

Most pieces spend four to eight weeks at the bench. Wax approvals add time only if a revision is requested — we give a firm date at the drawing stage, and we keep it.

Which metals and stones do you work in?

Sterling silver, eighteen-karat gold, rose gold, and responsibly sourced diamonds and pearls. If you dream in another material, ask — our refiners are remarkably accommodating.

Can I restore an inherited piece instead?

Gladly. Send photographs or bring the piece to the atelier. We assess it free of charge and return a written restoration plan within one week.
