Now in quiet release

A quiet page for a loud mind.

Stillpoint is a writing space with nothing extra — one file, one hour, one honest draft at a time.

Practice

Three vows, kept by design

Stillpoint removes everything a writing tool usually adds, then keeps what remains honest.

Plain text, kept plain

One file on your machine. No formats to learn, no lock-in to fear — your words outlive the app.

A measured hour

Each session runs sixty minutes, then the page closes itself. Endings keep the work honest.

Silence, enforced

No sync badges, no counters, no pings. Stillpoint cannot interrupt you, because nothing in it speaks.

Method

How a session runs

  1. Arrive

Open one file. Name the session in a single line, then let everything else wait.

  2. Remain

Write in a full-screen room. The only instrument on the wall is the clock, and it moves slowly.

  3. Close

The hour seals the session by itself. Tomorrow, the page waits exactly where you left it.

Letters

Kept by writers

“Stillpoint is the only tool that respects my attention instead of harvesting it.”
Mara Ellison · Essayist
“I write fewer hours and publish more pages. That ratio changed my working life.”
Theodor Lang · Novelist

Questions

Asked, answered

Where are my drafts stored?

On your machine, as plain text. There is no cloud, no account, and no second copy of your words anywhere else.

Does it work offline?

Entirely. Stillpoint runs locally, and even updates wait until a session has closed before they install.

Can I leave the Cloister plan?

Anytime, from settings. Your files stay yours, so there is nothing to cancel, recover, or regret.

Take your seat.

One short letter each Sunday on writing slowly. No noise, ever.
