Bespoke Glyphs
Every letterform begins as a nib drawing and endures seventeen passes of optical correction before it earns its place in the family.
Maison de Type · Est. MMXXVI
An atelier of refined typefaces — every glyph cut, kerned and gilded by hand, then fitted to your brand like a couture silhouette.
The Craft
Three disciplines, one silhouette — how a typeface is made to behave like couture.
Every letterform begins as a nib drawing and endures seventeen passes of optical correction before it earns its place in the family.
Elaborate joins and flourishes, cut to move like silk across the page — never decoration for its own sake, always in service of rhythm.
From a whisper-thin 100 to an authoritative 900 — we cut both extremes of a family, so your contrast is always in season.
The Fitting
We take your measurements — voice, audience, and the space your words must inhabit.
Master typographers draw, kern and gild each glyph to the exact silhouette of your brief.
Your finished family arrives fitted and documented — ready for the runway, and every season after.
The Clientele
Nimbus dressed our masthead in a typeface that finally speaks our language. The kerning alone is worth the fee.
Our annual report read like a Paris runway. Readers wrote in — about the ligatures.
The Collections
$49 / typeface
$290 / family
$1,900 / bespoke
The Enquiries
Every collection leaves the atelier with desktop and web entitlements included. Broadcast and app licences are fitted on request, measured to the scale of your production.
Certainly. Bespoke joins are our specialty — bring the letter pair and our cutters will compose a flourish that flatters both. Couture clients receive two custom ligatures with every fitting.
Unworn typefaces may be returned within fourteen days for a full refund. Once a family has appeared in print or on screen, we consider it fitted — and fittings, like couture, are final.
