Swarm OS 2.6 · Molecular fabrication platform

Matter, compiled on demand.

Nimbus turns blueprints into bounded nanite swarms that grow programmable matter — lattice alloys, gradient aerogels, living gels — inside sealed, audit-logged bays.

Capabilities

Built for the atomic frontier

A fabrication stack engineered so swarms stay useful, traceable, and provably bounded.

Swarm assembly

Bounded swarm assembly

Millions of cooperative nanites fabricate to spec inside a lease-locked bay. Hard metabolic caps halt runaway replication in microseconds.

Containment spec

Material library

Smart-material presets

200+ certified metamaterials — programmable gels, self-healing lattices, gradient aerogels — each tunable down to the molecular bond.

Atomic QA

Layer-by-layer audits

Every build is scanned for drift and defect, then signed and timestamped. Export telemetry as proof-of-provenance for any review board.

Audit format

Pipeline

From blueprint to object

Three steps, one signed audit trail from first bond to final scan.

STEP 01

Seed a blueprint

Import CAD or draw in the molecular editor. Nimbus validates geometry, bond budgets, and containment envelopes before anything compiles.

STEP 02

Compile to nanites

The compiler emits signed nanite bytecode with a strict replication budget. Nothing leaves the forge until containment checks pass.

STEP 03

Swarm fabrication

Your swarm grows the part layer-by-atomic-layer at up to 3 cm³ per minute, streaming live telemetry — and dissolves itself when the lease ends.

Field reports

Trusted at the bench

What fabricators say after their first thousand builds.

We replaced a six-week prototyping cycle with one afternoon. The containment telemetry is what sold our safety board — every build is provably bounded.

Programmable gels used to be a paper concept. Nimbus compiled our first gradient hydrogel on day one, and the signed audit log made publishing trivial.

Questions we get asked

Safety first — the goo questions included.

Can a Nimbus swarm go grey-goo?

No. Every nanite is metabolic-capped and lease-locked to a sealed substrate volume. Replication beyond the signed budget trips a lattice-wide kill switch in under 50 microseconds and the swarm self-dissolves. Independent auditors hold the halt keys — not us.

What materials can I fabricate?

Anything in the certified library: lattice alloys, gradient aerogels, programmable gels, and self-healing polymers. Custom element maps are available on the Foundry plan after a containment review by our safety engineers.

Do you lock in my blueprints?

Never. Blueprints export as open .mol files and standard nanite bytecode. Dissolve your swarm, take your files, and recompile on any compatible forge. Your audit history exports with them.
