Hand-Chased Ornament
Filigree, damascening, and repoussé, all worked by hand — no piece ever leaves the bench twice alike.
The Nimbus Atelier · Est. 1887
From our gaslit atelier, every commission — pocket watch or garden gate — is drafted, chased, and finished by hand, then sealed with the Nimbus hallmark.
Our Singularities
Filigree, damascening, and repoussé, all worked by hand — no piece ever leaves the bench twice alike.
Every commission begins in ink at the drafting table, where your vision is rendered before a single file is lifted.
Sheffield steel and ethically won stones, each piece signed and sealed with the Nimbus hallmark.
From Vision to Heirloom
Take tea with our master craftsman or write by post; we sketch your fancy and fix a fair quotation.
Artisans chase, engrave, and polish across the bench, with weekly letters charting progress.
Your piece arrives in a burled-walnut case — hallmarked, insured, and ready to bequeath.
Kind Words
Nimbus restored my grandmother's brooch with such delicacy it seems newly minted; the filigree fairly breathes.
I have commissioned instruments on three continents; none approach the precision of this atelier's benches.
