The seal is permanent by design to maintain the closed ecosystem. Opening would disrupt the delicate balance and is not recommended. Each terrarium is crafted to last 5+ years without intervention.

Condensation is a healthy sign of the water cycle in action. Moisture evaporates from soil and plants, then condenses on the cooler glass surface before returning as purified water. Wipe excess if it obstructs your view.

With proper placement (indirect light, stable temperature), our terrariums typically thrive for 5-10 years. The longest recorded sealed ecosystem lasted over 50 years - yours could be a generational heirloom.

Place in bright, indirect light - an east or north-facing window is ideal. Avoid direct sunlight which can overheat the interior. Maintain room temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C) for optimal performance.

Each vessel contains: a drainage layer of gravel, activated charcoal for purification, nutrient-rich soil, and your selected biome of plants. We also include springtails (beneficial micro-cleaners) in tropical and woodland options.
